About Bear Lane Guide Service
and Frank Perkowsky

I have been hunting black bear in Maine since 1970. I started hunting in the Patten area of Maine, then moved to Wesley Maine  in Washington County in the late 1970's and have been there ever since. After getting my first bear I was bitten by the bear hunting bug (plus black flies and mosquitoes)! I started to bring more friends up to hunt with me and it go to the point where I wanted to hunt more bear. The problem was your only allowed one black bear per hunter, per season. The only way I could accomplish this was to get my guides license so I could take numerous hunters out and harvest as many bear as we possibly could. I acquired my Master guides license in 1990 and thats how it all started. Bears are one of the smartest animals in the woods. The head games they can play drives me NUTS, but I still love it. When a hunter is successful it makes all the months of hard work behind the scenes worth it. Your success as a hunter is my success as a guide. Enough about me. LET'S GO HUNTING!
